MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

First our congratulations to our 2013 KCSE candidates for the sterling performance with the highest number of quality grades in the school academic record. This is a great motivation to the 2014 team number one to build on and subsequent classes to excel even higher. Hongera 2013 team.

I do sincerely thank staff for their dedication and tireless effort in promoting the goals of excellence in school. This is one very special team that works closely with students’ day in and day out to post the consistent good results not only in academics but also in co-curricular.

We as a school are proud to build all round students that will help to confront mankind’s’ challenges around the world as envisaged in our school vision.

F.S.K is proud of its dedicated board of management under the able leadership of the chairman Prof Noah Sitati. The board is focused on improving the school environment to foster academic standards as make the school a global reference institution.

The PTA executive committee is vibrant under the wise leadership of hon. John Makali as the chairman .the committee undertakes to establish facilities that will promote teaching and learning activities. The committee is deeply concerned with the welfare matters of the school and keen to support success of all the school stakeholders.

Once again the school’s proud of its alumni under the chairmanship of PROF Samson Wanjala for their love for the school. This has seen the old boys carry out a series of activities in support of the school. The old boys AGM is on 7/6.2014. All are welcome.

The Bradley family is a special family and supporter of the school. We salute the great initiatives of Peter Bradley in school. Among them the solar heater panels, the water harvesting project, the radio amateur club, the weather station, among others. This has contributed in making FSK a special school.

As the family of FSK, enjoy the good atmosphere and environment that promotes academics. We are grateful and proud of our students. They are gentlemen. Easy to take instructions, cooperative and good sons in the home. Their discipline is impressive and makes us enjoy working with them all the time.

We appreciate our parents who have supported the school in nurturing the character and a leadership in our students. We proud that our students are responsible and self driven gentlemen.

“FSK is the home we love to be”

MESSAGE FROM B.O.M CHAIRMAN

Through the year we focused our energies on how we can achieve better results away from the business as usual approach. As a matter of fact, our closeness to the teachers and candid discussions has realized the good results which we are here to celebrate today. As a board we want to congratulate the principal, the teachers and the non-teaching staff for the hard work. We also wish to thank the 2013 form four class for showing high level discipline and hard work which led to good results, which others should emulate. I want to assure parents that the tempo is high and we are determined to steer FSK to greater heights.

In terms of development, we have seen the construction of the only swimming pool in a school in western Kenya to the purchase of land and construction of other needed facilities that will go along way in motivating and improving the learning environment of our students. We  plan to convert  our old farm into a state of the art playing grounds so that all our students can participate  in games which is crucial for their physical and mental development.FSK aims at only educating the young to be successful in their exams but also to churn out socially responsible human beings of tomorrow.

To this end, therefore, I want to thank the parents and the Old Boys for their generous contributions.

In order to provide an impetus to the teachers development and motivation, we started rigorous retreat between staff and board members with clear agenda on how to improve the results and setting targets. This was the first ever face to face interaction between teachers and school BoM. We plan to have more of such meetings in future so that we build togetherness of the teaching fraternity. Despite all these good work, all was not smooth as well. Political interference in the school misdirected our energies from our goals and these also affected some of our planned development activities. I want to thank the BoM for standing firm and not letting people hell bent to bring confusion in the school. Its worth noting that fsk is not a village school but a national school and local interference will not be tolerated. I want to urge patents to come out and defend their school otherwise once it slips, kamusinga will not be the same again. Finally, on behalf of the school BoM, I wish to convey my best wishes to all the teachers, students and their parents for a successful 2014. God bless FSK

Prof Noah Sitati

FSK AIMS FOR 12TH NATIONAL HOCKEY TITLE

National hockey boys champions FSK were among teams that qualified for 2014 national Secondary School Championships during regional games played over the weekend.

FSK of Bungoma County, were forced to fight hard to edge out Musingu of kakamega county 1-0 in a nervous final match of the Nzoia region Games played at Eregi Teachers College on Sunday.

The whole championship was very competitive like never before .there was no easy team, but we survived to win the title.

Derric kuloba scored the priceless goal, which sent FSK to the national championships, in the 47th minute.

I know the national’s champion-ships would be equally competitive because most of our opponents like Maseno and Narok have also qualified,

FSK defeated Kolanya of Busia County 5-3 on post- match penalties after 1-1 tie in normal and extra time to advance to the final. FSK would be going for their 12th trophy when the nationals are held at Shanzu Teachers College in Mombasa next month

BASKET BALL TEAM

Kamusinga School would take two teams to the nationals after their basketball boys team also won at the Nzoia Games.

Raymond kimathi scored game high 16 points for FSK 64-50 victory against Kapenguria of West Pokot in the final
